Why Secret Wars 8 is in the 2023 Goldin Comic Book Hall of Fame

Miles Morales is the first black Spider-Man. But the black-SUITED Spider-Man is arguably at least as important.

Some books define an era of comics publishing. Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars 8 is one of them.

The moment an alien symbiote took over Spider-Man changed the course of history in the Marvel Universe. It opened the door once and for all to the concept that, with superheroes to defend us or not, the Earth is not alone in the universe.

Secret Wars #8 led to the creation of some of the greatest villains of all time, like Venom, Carnage…
