Editor's reply: While Avengers comics have been hot since the movie was first announced, there has been a softening in values of the key issues (such as Avengers #1, first team, Avengers #4, first Captain America in the silver age) in the past year or so.

Avengers #9 (click for values) has never been a key comic book. In high grade, it has decent value (record sale was $8,300 from the Pacific Coast collection).

Your copy is rather rough, showing color loss on the front cover. I can't see the back cover, but the front issues would render it about a 3.0 to 4.0 in my opinion.

If you got it graded that that level by CGC, then you'd end up with a comic worth about $60. It's really not worth grading this book, so if I were you I'd sell it on ebay as a reader copy. You can expect to receive $10-$20.
