Things have changed in the comic book business when it comes to signatures on books. Believe it or not, a signed book is (kind of) considered to be damaged.

That's because CGC (the main comic book grading company) have not witnessed the signature. In other words, the book will receive its grade, then give it a GREEN (qualified) label, noting "STAN LEE written on cover".

You could (if you were cynical) accuse CGC of profiteering, and/or of killing the age-old tradition of collectors getting writers or artists to sign books they had created.

But it's just what the market demands -- perfection. So, in order to get a REAL copy signed by Stan Lee, you'd have to have him sign it while CGC witnesses the signature. Then it would get a CGC Signature Series yellow label, and be legit.

All that to say, this book is worth about $10. See some sales here, and add a little for the non-CGC authenticated signature.
